Maintaining six full time employees and a team of subcontractors, Golden Hands Construction is fully insured and EPA lead-safe certified.
Our work in historic restoration and our association with Bloomington Restorations Inc. has allowed us to work on some of the most important historic houses, both large and small, in Bloomington and the surrounding area.
Although Golden Hands Construction concentrates on remodeling projects, we do build complete homes as well. You can see some pictures in our Image Gallery.
In 2001, Golden Hands Construction was invited to participate in a project at The Smithsonian Institute's Masters of the Building Arts. We built an historic reproduction of a 19th Century porch on the capitol green to illustrate local builders practicing traditional building skills.
Most recently, Golden Hands Construction has integrated green building techniques and sustainable building practices into our repetoire. Our proudest example of this was building a Structural Insulated Panel (SIPs) house based on a Passive Haus design in 2008. This project has received a LEED rating of Platinum and is the first Platinum rated residential structure in the city of Bloomington.
